  The THSG In Local Schools

Here at the THSG we are extremely proud of the work we do within the schools based in our local area. We feel it is important to introduce children to the sport and give them a practical learning course that allows them to have fun while learning.

Tri-Golf has been successfully implemented across the country and it works fantastically well with the young children. Made up of plastic clubs and foam balls, the Tri-Golf kit allows coaches to ensure the basics of the game are taught in a safe and fun manner. At the THSG we have found that the children love the sessions and are keen to make the move from the foam balls to the real thing by the end of the course we offer. We are very passionate about the work we do with the children within the schools and we feel it is very important that we reach out to as many children as we can in order to introduce and involve these children in the sport.

The schools network we have created through the Tri-Golf sessions is always expanding with more schools being added each week and this allows us to keep going with our plans to bring golf into sport lessons and show that it is a fun and enjoyable sport. The THSG have been running there schools program for 2 years now and have worked with 18 primary schools and 3 secondary schools to date.

We are very fortunate that we can count on members of our Junior Forum to help with the school sessions and they provide valuable experience and creativity when it comes to the planning of sessions and keeps the children entertained with different games each session.

The end goal for our Tri-Golf sessions is not only to introduce golf to as many children as we can but it is also to grow participation in the sport as a whole. The children that are learning today will be the future of the game and it is important, as it is in any sport to get children involved and get them enjoying it.
