Ross on Wye Golf Club

The Ross-on-Wye Golf Club

The Course

Ross is a woodland course carved out of an oak and silver birch forest and standing on the 1st or 10th tee it is hard to believe that this excellent layout has only been in existence for 40 years. Its tree lined, undulating fairways and small well contoured greens test all golfer's repertoire of shots. Ross is a course that demands strategy, creativity and most of all patience as well as that elusive golf talent to hit a ball consistently straight.

The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is situated with excellent aspects from the balcony of the ninth and eighteenth greens. It is well appointed and comfortable with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Catering Team provide excellent bar snacks or meals throughout the day or group dining by arrangement.

Teaching Academy

The Tim Hall School of Golf. The Professional's Shop at Ross on Wye Golf Club, has been recently taken over by award winning Foremost professional Tim Hall. Tim brings a wealth of experience in all areas of the profession and prides himself on delivering a professional service to every golfer that comes his way. Tim’s background is impressive and just last year he won the coverted Foremost EMP Professional Of The Year and this year won the Foremost PGA Professional of the Year. The award commends him on the service he provided in all areas at his previous club, Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club in Shropshire.

Practice Facilities

Ross has good practice facilities with putting, chipping and pitching facilities close to the club house. A driving range some 50 yards from the clubhouse provides golfers with the opportunity to practice the long game.
